El Buen Samaritano

At an altitude of 700 meters in the Pedroches Valley of Córdoba, an olive oil is produced that offers more than just top quality. Every bottle sold contributes to employment, shelter, and tackling drug-related issues in the region. El Buen Samaritano produces organic extra virgin olive oil from Picual olives, with a low acidity of 0.16 to 0.18 and a high polyphenol content that ensures a powerful, balanced flavor. For over 30 years, 100% of the profits have gone to the social projects of the Good Samaritan Foundation. This is exactly the kind of brand we are proud to leverage our network for.

Quality with a mission

Behind El Buen Samaritano is a social cooperative founded in 1993. The proceeds from the olive oil do not go to shareholders, but entirely to social projects that provide new perspectives for people in the Córdoba region. The oil itself is SKAL and EU organic certified and is packaged in electrolytic galvanized tin: a traditional container that is better for the oil than aluminum. Available in 500 ml bottles and 1, 3, and 5-liter tins for retail and foodservice.

From commission partnership to organic retail placement

For the Dutch market, we entered into a commission partnership with El Buen Samaritano for distribution. Through this partnership, we are introducing the olive oil to organic retail, including both franchises and independent organic stores. In addition, we have expanded the foodservice route so that the oil also reaches the hospitality sector. We handle the logistics coordination from Spain to the shelf via our own distribution network, allowing El Buen Samaritano to focus on what really matters: making great olive oil and supporting social projects in Córdoba.
