How Dapp made it onto the menu at three Utrecht cinemas

Organic products on the Utrecht menu

The Louis Hartlooper, Springhaver, and Slachtstraat cinemas in Utrecht are not just iconic movie theaters, but also beloved dining spots in the city. In addition to screening exclusive films, they offer a menu full of seasonal and local options. The organic fries from Dapp are part of that!

Dapp and his love for fries have been a household name in Utrecht for over 10 years. The organic fries from Dapp are made from potatoes grown naturally, without chemical pesticides or artificial fertilizers. Almost all year round, Dapp uses the Agria potato, with a crispy skin full of vitamins.

They are served with their own signature mayonnaises, made to a custom recipe specifically for the fries. A French mayonnaise with a fresh, tangy flavor, tested by hundreds of Dapp fry enthusiasts. And a truffle mayonnaise made with black truffle, which can also be used in the preparation of various dishes.

Dapp's organic fries on the menu

Every day, the pre-fried chips from Dapp make their way to the cinema kitchens, where they are prepared as a side dish and menu supplement. 365 days a year, the fries are delivered fresh from the Frietwinkel, ready to be finished off.

Utrecht chef Christiaan Willemsen, who works at the Louis Hartlooper cinema, has included Dapp's organic fries Dapp on both the lunch and dinner menus. "Dapp's fries Dapp are a perfect addition to our menu. The suppliers are always cheerful and friendly, and the fact that the fries are organic makes it even better. Plus, they are incredibly delicious,” says Christiaan.
